Senior Accountant

Overview Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Alexandria, VA to identify a Corporate Senior Accountant for their team. This fully onsite position will support corporate accounting functions, including financial reporting and month-end close, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced corporate setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations Take ownership of key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis Evaluate financial data and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and established accounting policies Assist with audit activities by preparing schedules, compiling documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries Support revenue recognition, accruals, and other technical accounting areas as needed Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy Partner with cross-functional teams to support reporting requirements and broader business objectives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required Experience in corporate accounting or within a SaaS environment preferred Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger processes Experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
