Radiology - CT Tech

CT Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm.

The CT Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for diagnostic procedures, explaining scans, positioning patients to capture appropriate images, and operating equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue. The role includes completing paperwork, scheduling exams, and performing diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Understand and complete necessary requisitions for ordered exams.
• Schedule exams and perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to inject IV contrast media as needed.
• Perform a variety of examinations and reconstructions as directed by the Radiologist.
• Identify and diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer related queries.
• Move and transport patients to and from the department as required.
• Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
• Treat all patients and coworkers with courtesy and friendliness.
• Attend required in-services and orientations.
• Build positive relationships with floor staff to facilitate excellent patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Rad Tech/CT Certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Medical Imaging field (not including school).
• Experience operating facility-specific equipment (Philips) is required.
