Senior R&D Software Engineer - Toyota Automated Logistics

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain software for autonomous robots, covering low‑level control, perception, and high‑level autonomy. Integrate sensor data (LiDAR, cameras, IMU) using ROS to build robust perception pipelines. Develop and optimize machine‑learning models for object detection, path planning, and decision making. Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and product teams to launch new automation products in warehouses and factories. Write clean, testable code, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to safety and reliability standards. Requirements 5+ years of software engineering experience in robotics or autonomous systems. Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS/ROS2. Hands‑on experience with computer‑vision libraries (OpenCV, TensorRT) and machine‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow). Solid understanding of embedded systems, real‑time operating systems, and hardware‑software integration.
