Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3 x 12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Compact license required Certifications: AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Fetal heart monitoring experience High-risk pregnancy monitoring experience C-Section and vaginal deliveries experience Ability to assist with postpartum couplet care Description: The role involves managing antepartum care in four dedicated rooms. Care for nine labor and high-risk patients. Provide triage services for patients. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Floating to postpartum may be necessary based on staffing needs. Candidates will be responsible for fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring. Experience with C-Sections and vaginal deliveries is essential. Postpartum care will only be performed if there are not enough Perinatal RNs available. Candidates should be able to provide couplet care for both newborn and maternal patients. The ability to perform the newborn role during delivery is an advantage. This position requires expertise in working in an OR suite during C-sections. The facility typically sees 200-300 births each month. Safety and privacy are paramount, particularly given the clientele. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary services including respiration, interpretation, and social services. Candidates must be ready to assist with emergent events outside of C-sections. Floating between facilities or similar units may be required. Compliance with all scheduling requests is necessary upon submission.
