Veterinary Assistant Position

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our fast-paced multi-doctor practice located in Long Beach. Our practice provides high-quality care to our patients in a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Location: 3080 Woodruff Ave, Suite B, Long Beach, CA 90808

Salary: $17.00 - $27.50 based on skill level and experience

Schedule: Full-Time, closing shift with rotating Saturdays

Why We Need You As a member of our team, your mission will be to support our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Anesthetic monitoring
• Dentistry skills
• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Cystocentesis
• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Preparing the surgical suite
• Patient recovery
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
• Giving injections and vaccinations
• Performing nail trims, anal gland expressions, and ear cleaning
• Filling prescriptions
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets
• Maintaining medical records.
• Maintaining a clean and well-organized treatment area

Requirements

• 1-2 years of clinical experience
• High school diploma required
