Location: Matteson, IL
Shift: Night (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
Pay: $18 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Material Handlers to support operations in an Energy Storage System (ESS) battery and electronics manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for the movement, storage, and handling of materials used in the production of battery modules, packs, and electronic components in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility

Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, and production lines

Supply assembly lines with necessary materials to maintain continuous production

Perform inventory tracking, labeling, and stock organization

Use equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (if certified)

Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues

Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and inventory records

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies

Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free

Support production and quality teams to meet daily output goals

Requirements / Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred

Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift experience a plus)

Basic understanding of inventory systems and work instructions

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent 12-hour schedule

Work Environment

Manufacturing/production setting (ESS battery and electronics assembly)

Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requires adherence to strict safety and quality standards
