Successful candidates must have over five years of experience managing electrical construction projects and supporting the overall strategic goals of the company and the CORE VALUES. The Project Manager will foster the Core Values while building relationships to align with company's strategic vision and the company's THREE COMMITMENTS.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Primary Account Manager for Electrical clientsPlan, organize, and execute all aspects of the project- Know Your JobDetermine and coordinate all necessary project resourcesMake decisions on project(s)Function as the liaison between the field and the client(s) to facilitate effective construction activitiesPrepare and track job quotes and bid packagesCoordinate with Engineering Department on Design-Build work and obtain Plan Check ApprovalReview contracts, trade specific work, and insurance documents (OCIP/ CCIP)Identify, create, and negotiate all change orders in a timely mannerMaintain all progress tracking logs and manage releases of lighting gear and controlsDirect, train, and mentor a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, as applicableCollaborate with field supervision and internal support resources to ensure the project stays on schedule and maximizes profitabilityCoordinate, attend, and/or lead all project related meetings, i.e., Team Meetings, KEC Job Strategy Process Meetings and Customer/Client Meetings, etc.Prepare for and attend monthly Project Reviews with upper managementReview Job Reports and create monthly cost and billing projectionsOversee Billing Processes and actively work to maintain a healthy cash flow positionPrepare weekly Project Status report for clients, providing project status updatesMonitor and approve all job-related cost expendituresManage and track subcontractorsMaintain an active role in project safety in conjunction with KEC's safety teamComplete project closeout processThe preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments and to make reasonable accommodation as needed.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Estimating experience: McCormick/ Accubid preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and understanding of AutoCAD and RevitProactive attitude and initiativeExcellent reasoning skillsAbility to read and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawingsKnowledge of, and compliance with, all electrical codes, and State Compliance Laws/RegulationsAbility to take ownership and accountabilityStrong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing job requirementsStrong understanding of complex and technical electrical construction and management practicesAbility to work in a team environment and display leadership skillsPositive attitude and customer focusQUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business-related field from an accredited college or university preferred (*)A minimum of five years in the electrical construction trade, with a strong knowledge of construction sequencing, construction methods, and materials practices; including knowledge of electrical systems (*)(*) Can be a combination of trade, education, and relevant work experienceLICENSES/SPECIAL TRAINING: LEED AP and OSHA 30 certifications are desired but not mandatoryPhysical Demands:Frequently, they work outdoors on uneven surfaces.May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.May be required to stoop, bend, and crouch.Work Environment:Works in a climate-controlled environment 50% of the time.May work in varied weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.Frequently works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.May occasionally work in areas with hazardous chemicalsSAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:Each employee has a responsibility for their own safety, the safety of their co-workers, and the community in which they are operating.In the performance of duties and responsibilities, you are expected to observe all safety, health, and loss prevention rules, practices, and procedures, as well as specific instructions related to the safe and efficient performance of your work.An effective and viable safety, health, and loss prevention program will be attained only when all employees are safety conscious and keenly aware, both mentally and physically, of the potential hazards of your environment.GENERAL SIGN OFF:  This is not an all-encompassing job description but more a brief Summary of duties for the position.
