As a Security Officer Visitor Reception in Rye, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utility location as a Front Desk Professional, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity from a stationary post, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help support a secure environment through attentive front desk presence and security-related awareness, while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor front desk activity, verify identification and/or visitor access credentials, maintain visitor logs, and communicate entry procedures in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Answer phones, assist with directions, receive deliveries, and support access control and other front desk administrative duties related to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
