Assembler (1st Shift)

This Mechanical Assembler role focuses on building spray booth units and related sub-assemblies in a clean, temperature-controlled production environment. You will use hand and power tools to assemble components, perform quality checks, and prepare finished products for shipment while working closely with a supportive team. This is a Level I position with clear opportunities to learn new skills, advance through different assembly levels, and grow your earnings over time. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible after interviewing. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half.

1st Shift is currently working 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday*

Responsibilities

• Assemble spray booth units using hand tools and power tools in accordance with standard procedures and work instructions.
• Build small sub-assemblies and progressively take on larger and more complex assemblies over time.
• Work alongside an experienced team member for hands-on training and cross-training across different assembly stations.
• Install frames and attach large plastic panels, approximately 4 x 6 feet in size, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Perform detailed assembly tasks, including fitting and securing small mechanical components.
• Assist with packing completed spray booths into large shipping units to prepare products for shipment.
• Conduct final inspections on completed units to verify proper functionality, including checking nozzles and confirming that all components are correctly installed.
• Follow written work instructions and assembly guides, learning most processes on the job and applying them consistently.
• Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and maintain consistent quality throughout the shift.
• Lift and move components and assemblies weighing up to 35–50 pounds as needed during the assembly and packaging process.
• Complete assembly and sub-assembly builds according to established standards, quality requirements, and production timelines.
• Perform quality checks and basic functional testing on completed units to ensure they meet specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively, following all safety guidelines and best practices.
• Assist with packaging and preparing finished products for shipment, including labeling and securing items for transport.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient production and uphold workplace standards.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and support a cooperative, team-oriented environment.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly, mechanical, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work throughout the shift.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how components fit and function together.
• Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing (preferred but not strictly required if mechanical aptitude is strong).
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Capacity to learn new assembly processes quickly and apply training on the job.
• Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality.
• Basic understanding of safe tool usage and adherence to safety procedures in a production setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience reading and working from work instructions, assembly guides, or basic blueprints.
• Experience in mechanical work, assembly, or related trades such as mechanic or equipment assembler.
• Familiarity with quality checks and basic functional testing of assembled products.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and leads.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to cross-train on multiple assembly stations and take on new tasks as skills develop.

Work Environment

The role is based in a very clean, temperature-controlled production facility that focuses on advanced skincare, beauty technology, and spray solutions. The environment includes the light odor of self-tanning products, similar to over-the-counter self-tanning creams or lotions. Assembly work is performed on the day shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering a consistent schedule and work-life balance. You will work with hand tools, power tools, spray booth components, and large plastic panels, following structured work instructions and standard operating procedures. The assembly team is close-knit, with a current headcount near 25, and emphasizes collaboration, cross-training, and mutual support. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Macedonia, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
