Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Only W2 Remote Position Client is looking for below skills:
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
You will be working to help design and build GKE clusters for Verizon IT applications to migrate to or build in greenfield. You will combine the existing cloud design, policies, and practices in place today at Verizon for other clouds and apply them to the GCP/GKE technology stack. This includes the below:
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical degree
- Candidate must be between 3 to 5 Years Exp.
- Skills - istio, Kubernetes, MicroServices
- Custom CI/CD pipelines which will need scripting bash / python: terraform, yaml and knowledge of tools like canary, permetheos , to help clients
- GCP is required
- Good to have both AWS and GCP
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
- GKE & CCE Architecture, Deployment & Operations experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and using test driven frameworks
- Experience with implementing and testing GKE security Policy
- Experience designing GKE architecture
- Experience with GKE automation to stand up clusters
- Strong communication and written skills
- Experience creating technical architecture documentation
- Understanding of GCP Identity Management (Service Principals, Managed Identity, Service Roles)
- Understanding of GKE PSP/OPA Policy Management
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience designing and implementing GKE architecture through automation
- Strong development/programming skills
- Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
- Experience with migrating applications to GKE
- Experience with orchestrating GCP Virtual Machine deployments in an enterprise setting
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform
You will be working to help design and build GKE clusters for Verizon IT applications to migrate to or build in greenfield. - Enhance and contribute to new GKE architecture
- Develop tooling and self-service capabilities
- Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Ansible, and Gitlab)
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to enhance the developer experience
- Migrate or build the initial pioneer workloads into GKE
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related technical degree
