Plant Project Engineer

Job Description Summary Dauch is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to join our world-class team. This role located at our Gallatin plant in Gallatin, TN. Job Posting Title Plant Project Engineer Job Description Streamline Project Management workflows and conduct FEL studies (preliminary evaluation, project design, cost estimation, cost control). Work with Engineering for capital project development; bid evaluation; project scheduling and coordination; installation and debugging. Analyze repetitive equipment failures and design solutions to reduce estimation of maintenance costs and evaluation of alternatives. Assess the needs for equipment replacements and establish replacement programs when due. Assess required maintenance tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipment. Assess and report safety hazards associated with all plant equipment (maintenance and production). Analyze equipment performance relative to production requirements. Implementation of designs or practice changes, through hands on involvement. Responsible for training full-time employees, contractors, and agency employees. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills And Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering. Project Engineering/Project Management experience (training or certification). 3-5 years of progressive experience in project engineering roles in a heavy industrial environment. Working knowledge of general plant construction practices, building construction, installation of equipment, etc. Knowledge of OSHA and general EPA regulations is highly desired.
