Are you a compassionate and skilled Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian seeking a rewarding opportunity in a collaborative, fast-paced environment? Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) in Portland, Maine is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our exceptional team.
For more than 30 years, PVESC has been dedicated to providing advanced emergency and specialty care to pets and their families throughout Maine. As the only independently owned and operated specialty and emergency hospital in the state, we are proud to foster a culture centered on teamwork, innovation, and compassionate patient care.

About the Role
As an Emergency Veterinarian at PVESC, you’ll work alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team to provide exceptional care for emergency and critical care patients. You’ll manage a diverse and challenging caseload while having access to advanced technology, experienced support staff, and specialty colleagues who are committed to delivering the highest level of veterinary medicine.
You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to help us transition into our brand-new 42,000 sq ft hospital opening in late 2026, designed to support innovation, collaboration, and excellence in veterinary medicine.
