Position Overview

A full-time Physical Therapist position is available in Lee’s Summit, MO for a clinician interested in outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. This role is based in a modern clinical setting with a structured patient schedule, a supportive team, and opportunities for continued professional development.

The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, design treatment plans, provide skilled therapy services, and help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and overall function. The clinic serves patients ranging from age 11 to 90, offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to work with different recovery goals.

Compensation

New Graduate Physical Therapist: $65,000–$70,000 per year
Experienced Physical Therapist: $80,000–$90,000 per year , based on years of experience

Preferred Work Schedule Options

The clinic offers flexibility and would strongly prefer one of the following schedules:

Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days Preferred

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Tuesday off each week

Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinic Information

• Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
• Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
• Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
• EMR System: WebPT
• Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
• Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations and ongoing reassessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnosis, and functional goals
• Treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions using appropriate physical therapy interventions
• Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance activities, mobility work, and functional rehabilitation
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, activity modification, and safe movement strategies
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care when appropriate
• Complete accurate documentation in WebPT
• Coordinate with PTAs and other clinical team members to support continuity of care

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
• Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Outpatient orthopedic experience is helpful, but not required
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work with patients across a broad age range and variety of conditions
