Here, you will make an impact by:Planning production schedules for assigned work centers to meet customer requirements while maximizing work center operational efficiencyProcuring materials and communicating with suppliers on future requirements to ensure the production plan is metPartnering with business teams to understand customer requirements and forecastsWorking closely with the manufacturing team, value stream leadership, and others to prioritize and resolve supply constraints to balance service, inventory, and cost to meet business targetsExhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Business Supply Chain, Quality, Supply Planning, and Demand Planning teams, as well as active participation in the Tier processExecuting production planning standard work with supply chain tools, IT systems, and processesOwning planning-related performance metrics including On-Time, In-Full shipments (OTIF), backlog, and production plan attainment for assigned work centers and managing to meet targetsActively managing parameters including optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles, and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between service and inventoryYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Four (4) years of supply chain experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Inventory managementERP system planning experienceMicrosoft OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganized self-starterAttention to detailWork location: On-site at 3M Medina, OHTravel: May include up to 5% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorized.Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
