Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit Glens Falls, NY

Facility Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Unit/Department: Intensive Care Unit

Shift: 06:45 PM-07:15 AM | Weekends: Every other | Call: No

Requirements:

• License: RN (Compact: No)
• Certs: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 4 years nursing, 2.5 years in Critical Care
• EMR: EPIC, CERNER preferred
• Compliance: De-escalation training (Welle, CPI, PMCS) required; Flu vaccination required
• Locals: Local caregivers (50 miles or less) considered at a decreased rate
• RTO Policy: Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care for patients in the ICU, including invasive monitoring and interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and care plans.
• Float to PCU if necessary.

• Orientation details to be provided prior to start date.
