Clinical Lab Supervisor - $10000.00 SIGN ON BONUS

LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Job Responsibilities Supervise the day‑to‑day operations of the Core Lab during evenings and nights. Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner. Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel in the department. Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverage. Ensure all shifts in the department are properly staffed. Research and resolve production errors, escalating when necessary. Engage in continuous process and service level improvements. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained through Quality Control. Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents. Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations. Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development. Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations. Ensure all work complies with state and federal regulations. Administer and manage policies and procedures. Process and maintain payroll and personnel files, and carry out administrative duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology. 5 or more years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) generalist and/or blood bank MLS. TN Supervisor license OR ability to obtain a TN Supervisor license within 3 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications ASCP, AAB, or AMT certification. 5 or more years of experience as an MLS generalist within a hospital laboratory environment. 1 or more years of leadership experience in a clinical core lab environment. Additional Job Standards In lieu of the listed education requirements, non‑traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards are acceptable. Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations. Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures. Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Comfortable making decisions in a changing environment. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
