Java Backend Developer - Charlotte

Salary: $72,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience
• Strong experience with Java backend development, Spring Boot, and microservices in the banking domain
• Proficiency in Core Java and Java 8, 11, or 17+
• Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Kafka or RabbitMQ, REST APIs, Postman, Swagger, and Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Banking or payments domain experience is preferred, including exposure to core banking, digital payments, or fraud systems
• Understanding of PCI-DSS, encryption, and audit logging is preferred

• Lead the backend development team
• Architect and design microservices using Spring Boot
• Drive technical delivery from start to finish
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrations
• Optimize microservices for performance and scalability
• Ensure compliance with banking security standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis
