People Operations Specialist (HR & Recruiting) Rocklin, CA (On-site)

Reports to: Director of HR MARS Energy is growing, and we're looking for a People Operations Specialist to support recruiting, onboarding, and day-to-day HR operations. This role works directly with the Director of HR and requires someone who can take ownership, stay organized, and keep both candidates and hiring managers on track . This is not a passive support role- we're looking for someone who can drive processes forward and follow through without constant oversight . What You'll Do

- Coordinate recruiting efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
- Partner with hiring managers to maintain momentum and ensure timely feedback
- Support onboarding, including paperwork, system setup, and first-day readiness
- Process Form I-9s and maintain compliant employee records
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR processes
- Track recruiting activity and provide regular updates
- Support HR projects, including updating job descriptions, improving workflows, and assisting with manager onboarding
- Assist with job postings and outreach efforts to help drive candidate volume
- 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting coordination, or administrative support
- Highly organized with strong follow-through- you don't let things drop
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take direction and run with it, while keeping stakeholders informed
- You stay on top of things without needing to be reminded
- You communicate proactively- not reactively
- You take pride in keeping processes organized and moving
