About Pretty With Purpose

Pretty With Purpose, Inc. is a youth-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women through mentorship, leadership development, college and career readiness, health and wellness, and workforce development.

We are seeking a Program Director who is passionate about creating meaningful programs and experiences that help young women develop the skills, confidence, and support needed to succeed.

This is an opportunity for an experienced and organized professional who wants to use their expertise to make a direct impact while helping strengthen and grow our programs.

Position Summary

The Program Director provides leadership and coordination for Pretty With Purpose programs from planning through implementation and evaluation.

This individual will help turn organizational goals into structured, measurable, and impactful programs . The Program Director will work closely with executive leadership, volunteers, mentors, community partners, and other program team members to ensure programs are organized, engaging, and aligned with the organization's mission.

The ideal candidate is someone who can take ownership, organize people and projects, communicate consistently, and move programs from ideas to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of organizational programs.
• Develop program timelines, objectives, deliverables, and implementation plans.
• Ensure programs align with Pretty With Purpose's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve and expand existing programs.
• Monitor program progress and address barriers to successful implementation.

Program Operations

• Coordinate program activities, schedules, meetings, events, and deliverables.
• Establish clear responsibilities and deadlines for program team members.
• Maintain program documentation, calendars, tracking tools, and records.
• Ensure program activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Identify operational issues and escalate matters requiring leadership attention.

Youth & Participant Experience

• Help ensure programs provide meaningful and engaging experiences for participants.
• Support the development of age-appropriate programming and activities.
• Collaborate with mentors, volunteers, and program staff to support participant success.
• Help collect and evaluate participant feedback.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide direction and support to program volunteers and coordinators.
• Facilitate effective communication among program team members.
• Collaborate with the VP of Youth Advocacy & Crisis Intervention and other organizational leaders.
• Participate in leadership meetings and organizational planning.
• Promote accountability, professionalism, and follow-through within the program team.

Partnerships & Community Engagement

• Collaborate with community organizations, schools, businesses, mentors, and other partners involved in program delivery.
• Support partnership activities that enhance program opportunities for participants.
• Identify resources, speakers, educational opportunities, and community experiences that may benefit participants.

Measurement & Reporting

• Establish and track program goals and performance indicators.
• Maintain accurate program participation and activity records.
• Prepare periodic program updates and reports for organizational leadership.
• Track outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide information needed for grant, sponsorship, and organizational reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience in nonprofit, youth development, education, workforce development, community programs, or a related field preferred.
• Program management, project management, or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or community partners is a plus.

Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

This is an unpaid volunteer leadership position . Pretty With Purpose values the time and expertise contributed by its volunteers and seeks individuals who can make a consistent and meaningful commitment to the organization.

The expected commitment will be established during onboarding based on program needs and the volunteer's availability.
