Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 25, 2026

Location: Canton, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Every other holiday required.

Highlights:

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with comprehensive cardiac monitoring
• Epic electronic medical record system
• Contract extendable up to 18 months with client approval
• Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration assessments
• Comprehensive onboarding with 6-15 hours of pre-start modules (first 4 hours billable)
• Local candidates welcomed at standard bill rate

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 months of recent, combined permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact state license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current Epic EMR experience required
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required (active and in hand)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start date
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Telemetry from the past 12 months required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (two attempts maximum)
• Background check and fingerprinting required (BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
