Looking for a Baker in our new market and eatery. Candidates should be organized, reliable and take pride in their work. Morning shifts starting at 6am. 25-30 hrs/week with option to pick up additional shifts in other departments.
Gallicchio's Market and Eatery is opening in October featuring scratch-made Italian specialties, sandwiches, and more. Be part of a new business in the vibrant Person St corridor.
Essential Duties:
Mix, proof and bake breads including ciabatta, focaccia, and baguettes from provided recipes
Prepare simple Italian desserts such as torte/cakes, custards, and more
Track inventory of ingredients and prepared items
Set weekly pars in consultation with owner for breads and desserts
Assist with preparation of other items in savory kitchen as needed
Keep workspace neat and organized, wash and put away equipment after use
Regularly move equipment and ingredients weighing up to 50lbs
Remain in standing position, walking, and bending for up to 8hrs
