THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides essential clerical support that helps the office operate efficiently and serve visitors and staff effectively. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Package Handling: Send packages through UPS and prepare shipping labels
- Payment Logging: Accept payments, record them accurately, and provide receipts
- Visitor Assistance: Greet visitors, direct them appropriately, and maintain a log
- Mail Processing: Process certified mail, manage logs in PowerComp, and distribute items
- Record Support: Maintain file descriptions in PowerComp and assist with verification tasks for the Record Management Unit
- Document Tasks: Copy files and process legible and illegible correspondence for proper forwarding
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; o r
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
