Network Engineer

Description Network Engineer Core Focus: Assessing power requirements for IP devices, selecting next-generation access switches, and designing robust power backup systems. Switch Recommendations & Procurement Evaluate current network loads and recommend enterprise-grade switch upgrades. Match switch uplink and port density needs to floor-level requirements. Verify PoE budget capacities, thermal ratings, and fan noise levels for IDF/MDF closets. Configure initial switch settings, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 features using Cisco IOS/NX-OS. Additional Skills & Qualifications CCNP certification preferred Intermediate MS Office Skills Knowledge of network, storage, server, and application architecture Experience Level Intermediate Level ONSITE IN TAMPA AND THIS IS A 12 WEEK CONTRACT CAN NOT SUPPORT C2C AT THIS TIME Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
