Production Technician

Global Filter Production TechnicianThe Global Filter Production Technician will be based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Production Technician will be responsible for operating production equipment designed to manufacture and assemble process filtration products. They play a pivotal role in Global Filter's success by assembling our process filtration products to meet or exceed our customers' quality of work standards while maintaining efficiency. The Production Technician will have a strong understanding of the Global Filter product portfolio, production processes & procedures, operating tools & equipment within the manufacturing process, and our core culture.The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated quick learner with a strong bias for action. The candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a team-player attitude. The person must be able to meet expectations consistently, predictably, and reliably with regards to attendance, quality of work, and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesAssemble process filtration products to desired product specificationsSafely operate production equipment designed to cut process filtration productsRun various sonic welding equipment to weld pleat packs and other process filtration productsOperate multiple thermal end-cap machines at one timeTroubleshoot thermal end-cap machines as neededInspect work packs and labels for accuracy, ensuring correct assembly of product by using our product building systemVerify and follow all work pack instructions to desired customer and product specificationsNavigate ERP system for material allocations and inspectionsUtilize various hand and power tools to assemble process filtration productsPerform accurate measurements and basic mathematics to inspect finish lengths and diametersOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredPrior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferredAbility to read and follow instructions provided on work orders and work pack instructionsAbility to accurately read a tape measureMust be able to perform basic math calculationsMust be able to work in a clean atmosphere producing multiple lines of high purity process filtration productsMust be able to work in a positive, dynamic work environment with an emphasis on teamwork and quality of workMust practice excellent personal hygiene on a daily basisIdeal AttributesExceptional attitudeDriven to succeed – creative, self-starterTrusting & supportive leader with ability to help the Global Filter team succeedExcellent problem-solving skills & entrepreneurial mindsetMust be a strong team-player with the ability to work autonomouslyStrong Bias for ActionExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsStrong time-management skills and the ability to organize and prioritizePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesMust have good dexterity with handsPerform repetitive work for long periods of timeThis is a general description of the Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications required for this position.
