Orchard Valley is seeking a Smoking Aide/Resident Care Assistant to join our team.

What you will do:

 

The Smoking Aide/Personal Care Assistant must present self in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly and act maturely in dealing with others.

• Assist with residents who need supervision while smoking.

• Assist in maintaining a homelike environment for all residents. 

• Initiate and promote cleanliness of the residents environment.

• Assist with bed making, tidying of rooms, passing water/ice, and closet clean outs. 

• Verify that assistance is provided to residents for necessary care.

What you need:

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.

• Six (6) months to one (1) year experience or related experience performing related duties, preferred.

• Knowledge of the aging process and residents, preferred.

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

• Skill at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities, preferred.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with high level of energy and enthusiasm.
