Clearwater Family Medicine and Allergy is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Clearwater, FL! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment where you'll make a real difference in patients' lives every day. If you have allergy shot experience and a passion for patient care, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Administer allergy injections and monitor patients for adverse reactions post-injection
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies
- Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately in EMR
- Perform routine clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Manage patient flow and coordinate scheduling to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on allergy treatment plans and medication instructions
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Prior allergy shot (immunotherapy) administration experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a family medicine, allergy, or primary care clinical setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
