This is an exciting opportunity to craft content that is not only engaging and effective but also integral to the overall user experience.As a Content Designer, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to design and deliver the Justworks experience. You care deeply about creating knowledge that people can trust. You're energized by organizing information, improving documentation, and making it easier for others to find the answers they need.You enjoy bringing order to complexity. Whether you're improving an article, identifying duplicate content, refining metadata, or helping subject matter experts write clearer documentation, you're always looking for ways to make a knowledge base healthier and easier to maintain.You understand that great knowledge doesn't happen by accident. It requires thoughtful structure, strong editorial practices, and ongoing stewardship. You're comfortable collaborating with contributors across the business, coaching them through content creation, and helping improve the systems and processes that support high-quality documentation.Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work OnMaintain and improve the health of our internal knowledge base by identifying outdated, duplicate, or incomplete contentIdentify opportunities for improvements to our knowledge system and design features that enable our stakeholders to do their best workPartner with subject matter experts and contributors to create, edit, and publish high-quality documentationSupport content operations by coordinating reviews, managing publishing workflows, and improving contributor experiencesApply content standards, templates, metadata, and taxonomy to improve consistency and discoverabilityMonitor the quality and organization of knowledge content, proactively recommending improvementsHelp develop and refine reusable content structures, authoring templates, and documentation patternsSupport governance efforts by helping ensure knowledge remains accurate, current, and aligned with organizational standardsUse data, feedback, and content audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvementCollaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, and operations teams to improve how knowledge supports the businessHow You Will Do Your WorkAs a Content Designer, how results are achieved is just as important as the outcomes themselves. Simplicity - Be like Einstein: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.”Qualifications3+ years of experience in content design, technical writing, content operations, knowledge management, documentation, or a related fieldExperience working with content management systems, documentation platforms, or knowledge basesExperience editing or managing documentation created by multiple contributorsExperience supporting content governance, publishing workflows, or documentation processesFamiliarity with one or more of the following:Knowledge management systemsTechnical documentationContent operationsTaxonomy or metadataContent modeling or structured contentStrong writing, editing, and organizational skillsComfortable managing multiple content initiatives while balancing quality and speedInterest in improving how structured knowledge supports search, automation, and AI-enabled experiencesThe base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $121,000.00 to $151,000.00 per year.#LI-Hybrid #LI-DW1Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
