Systems Administrator

Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure supporting USCGA Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and security standards Perform operating system administration across Windows and Red Hat Linux environments Install, configure, and patch server operating systems Create and administer Microsoft 365 accounts, including Active Directory and user access management Implement security patches and respond to identified vulnerabilities Develop and maintain system images tailored to specific user groups Support end users and server/network equipment around USCGA facilities Join a diverse team supporting U.S. government mission-critical IT and national security projects Requirements Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain Demonstrated proficiency with Windows Server and Linux distributions Proficiency with the Microsoft portfolio, including MS Forms, Power Apps, and Power Automate Strong hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting skills Scripting experience using platforms such as PowerShell Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN configurations Ability to function in a general office and data/server room environment Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time, with regular movement around USCGA facilities required Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining enterprise systems, with a strong focus on Windows Server and Linux environments.
