GCP Data Engineer

Job#: 3042215 Data Engineer Location: Eagan, Minnesota (Remote) Role Overview We are seeking a mid‑to‑senior level Data Engineer to design, build, test, and support data integrations. This role involves implementing solutions for integrating with third‑party vendors and establishing new data patterns. The position requires a professional who can contribute to solutions independently while collaborating with technical leads and solution architects. Key Responsibilities Lead the design of technology solutions to ensure they meet resiliency, stability, and functional requirements. Develop, maintain, and support existing data systems and platforms. Implement integrations with new third‑party vendors. Establish and build upon new and existing data patterns for various programs. Manage work direction and provide feedback to other team members. Own technology solutions, including proactive monitoring and developing a technological roadmap. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the data engineering space. Required Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including application development or package software implementation. Experience with data integration and batch processing is necessary. Technical Skills Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL. Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. Experience with data pipeline development. Understanding of data governance principles. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Eligibility Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without a need for work visa or residency sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Experience with GCP services, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow). Experience with claims data or in the PBM/healthcare industry. Knowledge of streaming or batch processing pipelines (e.g., Apache Beam, Dataflow). Experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model.
