Global Controller

Position Title: Global Controller Highlights: Significant investment in AI and automation following a recent acquisition Stable and experienced accounting team with strong tenure Opportunity to lead a global function and modernize finance operations The finance team operates on a flexible hybrid model. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Lead global accounting operations (GL, AR, AP, payroll, intercompany, fixed assets, leases, tax, stock comp, debt) Maintain and evolve internal controls Manage and mentor a global accounting team Drive process optimization and automation Collaborate with finance leadership on reporting and strategic initiatives Support treasury operations and cash forecasting Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting Partner with internal teams to explore AI-driven efficiencies Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and GAAP Lead statutory audits and tax compliance Implement and maintain transfer pricing documentation M&A: Support due diligence and integration of acquisitions Lead ERP and process integration for acquired entities Prepare opening balance sheets and purchase price accounting Leadership: Build trust with executive leadership through strategic insight, execution, and communication Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA required 15+ years of progressive accounting experience 10+ years in leadership roles Experience managing teams of 20+ International experience preferred Willingness to collaborate with AI and data teams to modernize finance Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
