Medical Receptionist

Job Full Description

A South Charleston medical facility is seeking a qualified, compassionate Medical Receptionist to perform a variety of tasks to help keep things running smoothly. We are looking for someone that is motivated, organized and reliable. And when working with the public, one must have excellent people skills!


Responsibilities:


As a Medical Receptionist you will be responsible for answering phones, greeting patients and maintaining inventory of supplies. Top priority of the medical receptionist is insurance verifications. You must have knowledge and experience in verifying insurance to be considered. You will also perform other duties including, but not limited to scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out and collecting/posting co-payments. Additional duties will be scanning registration information, managing files confirming pertinent information in charts for upcoming appointments and performing prior authorizations for prescriptions.


Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or the equivalent
• PrimeSuite experience preferred
• At least one year of previous work experience in a medical facility, with insurance verification
• Be neat, well groomed, and have a courteous, pleasant manner
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service and problem solving skills
• Clerical skills including word processing and filing
• Must be able to multi-task

Evaluation to hire position


Hours are Monday through Thursday - 8:00am - 5:00pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm and Friday 8am-2pm. Pay rate is $18.00/hour.
