CUSHION FILLER

Position Summary: Fills cushion cover with cushion fill and regulates to quality standards. Position Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads fill from truck
- Removes cushion covers from buggy and using cushion fill machine, inserts fill into cover
- Regulates corners and welt on filled cushion
- Fills cushion for all repairs
- Communicates with other departments to keep consistent flow of frames for upholstery team.
- Maintains neat and orderly work station.
- Ensure area has needed supplies.
- Wears required safety glasses, work shoes and other PPE as defined for work area; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor.
- Performs stretching exercises.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
- Must be knowledgeable in upholstery methods.
- English required for reading tickets and job notes.
- Must be organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
- Lift / Carry: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; team lift greater weights.
- Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk 8+ hours.
- Reach / Handle: Frequently required to reach, handle various items.
- Crouch/Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crawl: Frequently required when inspecting furniture item.
- Push / Pull: Frequently moving furniture items on/off lift tables or sliding across floor.
- Environment: Indoors, environmentally controlled - 100%.
- Automation: Scissor lift for positioning when needed.
- Vision: Color determination, observation of patterns, fabric textures and dye tones for quality
- Near Acuity: Requires close vision of less than 3 feet, with or without corrective lenses, for
