About the Role
The Company is in search of an inaugural Senior Vice President of Advancement to spearhead a new era of philanthropic growth. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record in advancement, particularly in the context of a complex, matrixed organization. This role is pivotal in the company's strategic priorities, and the SVP will be expected to partner closely with the President, Board, and University leaders to cultivate broader constituent engagement, external philanthropic partnerships, and long-term institutional support. A key focus will be on expanding and deepening the institution's portfolio of private-sector philanthropic partnerships, with an emphasis on individual corporate leaders, employers, and mission-aligned companies. The ideal candidate will be a trusted expert, data-driven, and entrepreneurial, capable of assessing and building the company's future advancement structure, and identifying practical ways to strengthen fundraising support. The role demands a leader who can design and execute an innovative strategy for corporate philanthropy, aligning with the company's mission to advance student success, workforce development, and institutional sustainability. The SVP will also be responsible for leading the vision and timeline for the next advancement campaign, which is expected to elevate the company's visibility and expand engagement across the community.
