The division has a long history of innovation in clinical practice, research, education, and procedural arenas that have positively impacted many patients’ lives and led to ground-breaking discoveries. We also have a focus on career development of our faculty leading to development of world leaders in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The group consists of nearly 90 clinicians, physician-educators, and academicians with support from excellent nurses and Advanced Practice Providers. Investigators are supported by a multidisciplinary and robust clinical, translational, and basic research infrastructure. Physician and physician-scientists with a background of excellence and innovation in research, clinical care and/or education (including education research) are encouraged to apply. Candidates with an academic focus on conducting epidemiological studies, clinical trials, artificial intelligence (AI), or working with large datasets would be highly competitive. The division works in an environment that supports innovation and has a wealth of resources available, enabling us to give our patients the time and quality of care they deserve.We currently have open positions across most fields of GI, including Therapeutic Endoscopy, Comprehensive GI, and Esophageal Diseases.We offer:• Dedicated clinical practices focused on disease groups with full-time administrative and nursing support• Several fully staffed inpatient services minimizing additional need for weekend / night call.
