Splunk Engineer

To support enterprise-scale cybersecurity initiatives, the remote contract Senior Splunk Engineer will design, implement, and optimize Splunk environments while managing infrastructure and ensuring data integration and security monitoring capabilities. Key responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud environments, managing infrastructure components Onboard and integrate logs and data sources, ensuring data quality and optimizing ingestion performance Develop dashboards, reports, and alerts to enhance security monitoring and incident response capabilities Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline 5+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud environments Strong experience with Splunk architecture, including Indexers, Search Heads, and Forwarders Expertise in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and dashboard/report development At least one relevant Splunk certification, such as Splunk Core Certified Power User or Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin
