Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician ensures operation of machinery by repairing and completing preventative maintenance requirements on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Essential Functions: Jobs assigned to maintenance technicians may vary from day to day. Depending on the job assigned, the maintenance technician may be responsible for any or all of the following:Maintain the highest quality work to continuously insure customer satisfactionAbility to troubleshoot injection molding machines with the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematicsBe familiar with and be able to troubleshoot hydraulicsRead electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues with machinesLocate repair parts and negotiate with vendor on best pricePerform and document machine Preventative Maintenance as scheduledPerform and document service work on all secondary auxiliary equipment Chillers, desiccant dryers, mold water heater, etc.Not required: Familiarity with tower maintenance and compressor maintenanceCoordinate with technical support of machine manufacturerPerform plant and equipment electrical and plumbing maintenance requirements as neededMaintain and document spare part inventoryOrder repair and maintenance components/supplies as neededPerform any metal cutting, drilling, welding, milling as neededFamiliar with VanDorn, Sumitomo, JSW, Engel and Cincinnati machinery.Have all necessary tools to perform the jobNot required: Ability to troubleshoot roboticsOperate forklift/overhead craneOther duties as assigned by SupervisorThe above represents the core functions for which maintenance technicians will primarily be held accountable. Maintenance technicians, as are all employees are responsible for:Maintaining a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional, cooperative manner with customers, vendors, all co-workers including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and managers.Adhering to and maintaining all ISO 2015 procedures related to the job, all work instructions, as well as adhering to all company policies, rules, and regulations.Minimum RequirementsHave at least 5 years experience with injection molding as a maintenance technician.Must possess ability to perform all necessary communication requirements in English.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos, as well as ability to write simple correspondences is required.Basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and common fractions are required.
