Social Media Coordinator/Content Creator

Summary/Objective Care-A-Lot Pet Supply is seeking a creative, pet-loving Social Media Content Creator to bring our brand to life through engaging video, photography, and digital storytelling. This role is responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and publishing compelling content that showcases our products, services, team members, and the pets we care for. The ideal candidate is passionate about content creation, understands current social media trends, and can independently manage projects from concept through publication while maintaining a consistent and engaging brand presence across all platforms. Visit all Care-A-Lot retail stores and pet resorts to capture high-quality video and photography featuring pets, products, services, events, and daily operations. Plan, script, film, and edit engaging short-form videos, reels, stories, promotional content, training videos, and other multimedia projects that align with company marketing initiatives. Manage the complete video production process, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, motion graphics, color correction, audio editing, and final delivery. Create platform-specific content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other social media channels while following current best practices and trends. Manage the company’s social media posting schedule, ensuring content is published consistently, accurately, and at optimal times. Monitor social media channels, engage with the online community, and help maintain a positive, consistent brand voice. Collaborate with the Marketing, Buying, and Events teams to develop creative campaigns, product launches, promotions, and educational content that increase brand awareness and customer engagement. Capture professional-quality photography and create graphics or motion graphics to support marketing materials and digital campaigns. Organize and maintain a centralized digital asset library of raw footage, edited videos, photography, graphics, and project files for future use. Stay current on emerging social media trends, platform updates, videography techniques, and digital marketing strategies to continuously improve content performance. This job operates in both a clerical, office setting and a retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, digital cameras and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job would require the ability to lift files, products and equipment as necessary. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time. This job requires the employee to lift at least 25 pounds infrequently. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Local travel to each Care-A-Lot Pet Supply location is required. Education and Experience Two (2) or more years of experience in videography, photography, video editing, and social media content creation with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative work. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Lightroom, and Illustrator), Final Cut Pro, and CapCut. Experience creating and managing content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Knowledge of professional camera operation, lighting, audio recording, motion graphics, photography, and post-production editing. Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel between Care-A-Lot Pet Supply locations. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. An advanced creative toolkit, including experience with DSLR cameras, professional lighting, and audio equipment. Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), professional copywriting assisted by AI tools, and social listening for brand reputation management. Ideal applicants will have a background in the pet industry or multilocation retail, along with the ability to analyze performance metrics to refine long-term channel strategy.
