Job Summary: Under the supervision of a House Manager, Assistant House Manager, Program Supervisor or Program Director, the residential counselor serves as a member of the Residential Program staff providing support and instruction to the residents of the assigned site. Essential Functions: Provides support services, including daily living skills, life skill development, supportive residential counseling, transportation, and other services as needed by each resident. Support and assist residents in weekly program schedules and outside activities. Maintains the security and safety of the residents and the facility. Participates in the development and implementation of the Individual Recovery Plan for each resident. Communicates, in written and verbal form, assessments and observations of consumers to other treatment team members. Supervises and monitors residents in self‑medication. Maintains accurate and current client documentation according to accrediting standards. Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED plus four years of related work or life experience (experience related to job duties must be clearly documented). LPN license plus two years of related work or life experience. Combination of one or more years of college plus related work or life experience equaling four years. RN license. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus one year of related work or life experience. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in mental health, health or another appropriate human services discipline. Licenses and Certifications Needed: Valid driver’s license is required. Mandated Program Requirements: Completion of a comprehensive competency‑based training program for individuals providing adult mental‑health residential services, certification of CPR/First Aid within 90 days of employment, and completion of essential online learning. Location: IBHS – Residential Burlington (Bordentown, NJ) Schedule: Sat‑Sun 4:00PM to 12:00AM Weekly Work Hours: 16 Weekly Salary: $19.00 per hour, eligible for sign‑on bonus.
