Assistant Controller

PathAI seeks an Assistant Controller to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and team supervision for an AI-powered pathology company. The role oversees general ledger processes, revenue recognition, financial statement preparation, and supervises two accounting staff members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise general ledger processes and monthly close procedures
- Oversee revenue recognition and accuracy of revenue schedules
- Manage accounts payable, employee expenses, and customer receivables billing
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and consolidations
- Conduct technical accounting analysis for complex transactions and maintain internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-7 years accounting experience with 2-3 years in Assistant Controller role
- Deep GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience managing or supervising accounting teams
