Design Engineer

We have an incredible opportunity for a Design Engineer QA/QC for FTTH network deployment in Denver, CO. This is a contract postion What will your job look lik QA/QC OSP High Level Design from Engineering Vendor QA/QC OSP Low Level Design from Engineering Vendor QA/QC GIS Data received from Engineering Vendor Manage data uploads and data consistency in Vetro Understand the end to end architecture of Fiber Passive Optical Networks, especially FTTH Understand the use and application of all materials and components available to meet build demands Provide an ongoing collaboration between the Engineering Vendor and Construction Vendor to build teamwork. Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer. Assist with OSP Design, Feeder and Distribution portions of the network Attend MDU Site Survey meetings with both Engineering and Construction vendors Research and evaluate various OSP routes and placing options associated with the projects. Research shall include existing customer conduct and other third-party conduits. Work with Engineering consultants regarding property fiber designs to the standards of our customers and Eaton Fiber. Review all phases of workflow in Site Tracker to ensure critical dates are met and closeout packages posted to SiteTracker. Identify opportunities to use the most cost-effective materials and design techniques available. Make recommendations for material inventories vs. job specific needs Work with Construction team to resolve field issues. Work directly with sales teams to help answer any questions prior to property owner access approval. Primary Requirements: Experience in all aspects of fiber builds, especially PON and FTTH Experience with Vetro Experience working with GIS tools and software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS Experience in Fiber Engineering field. Ability to read and build from engineering drawings and/or wire diagrams. Willingness to travel within your assigned geographic area. Valid driver’s license.
