As a DC PS Specialist in one of our Distribution Centers, you will provide support to the PS team in the areas of associate onboarding, compliance tracking, associate relations, leave of absence process, training, and procedure development. Ideal candidates for this role will have strong business acumen, excellent organizational and communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with associates, DC leadership and peers. This position will provide invaluable experience and opportunity for growth within a fast-paced and dynamic organization.

You'll accomplish these goals by:

• Responding to internal and external People Success and payroll related inquiries or requests and providing assistance
• Maintaining records of associate-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensuring all employment requirements are met
• Completing all time keeping approvals such as manually entering: VTO/OT, Leaving Early, Tardy, PTO, unexcused absences, Bereavement, etc
• Processing and requesting of immediate pay, such as pay cards
• Being responsible for the UKG timekeeping system, which includes all punch records for employees
• Determining eligibility for payroll discrepancy. Researching issue and confirming with a supervisor before processing
• Performing segments of orientations, and updating records with new hires

Additional responsibilities:

• Supporting the recruitment/hiring process by monitoring clearing of background checks and drug tests
• Assisting in ad-hoc PS projects
• Liaising with other distribution centers, departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
• Assisting supervisors in performance management procedures, including attendance infraction reports/audits and weekly corrective action reports
• Coordinating training sessions on system/policy/culture survey roll-outs to associates
• Processing of manual adjustments, including pay adjustment and payroll deduction forms
• Monitoring and maintaining PS supply levels
• Maintaining PS forms areas and completing monthly audits on PS areas and systems
• Being responsible for creating and auditing associates pay change report.
• Responding to general email and phone inquiries directed to the People Success department.
• Supporting, organizing and planning various department meetings and activities.
• Performing other related duties as required and assigned

The essentials of success:

• Bachelor's degree in business or human resources or 3 years business related work experience with primary responsibility for time and attendance, and Payroll administration and processing in a Distribution Center, Supply Chain Management, or Manufacturing/Industrial environment is preferred
• Technically proficient, particularly in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
• Experience working with multiple 3rd party timekeeping and/or payroll software systems (currently in use:UKG, ATS, ADP, SVMS) is preferred
• Knowledge of Wage and Hour Law, Employment Law, and other applicable regulations is preferred
• Prior experience in an administrative role scheduling complex meetings with multiple attendees using MS Outlook preferred.
• Basic understanding of HR concepts, policies, and procedures. Able to troubleshoot issues or make decisions independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision - and at the same time use good judgment on when to escalate issues.
• Proven experience in a role requiring a high degree of organizational skill and a strong sense of urgency; able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a customer service focus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and change direction quickly.
• Professional maturity with an ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and a high degree of ethical standards
• Proficient in English language

Working conditions:

• Ability to work rotational 24/7 on-call group that will support the operation at all hours
• Ability to travel, occasionally
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to work and make business decisions independent of direct supervision
• Exposure to distribution center conditions, which may include loud noises, variable temperatures, dusty environment, and strong scents related to cosmetics or fragrance
