We’re looking for an Accountant who shares our values and can work independently in a fast-paced, small-business environment. Job Description: We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support our day-to-day financial operations. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting strategic financial decisions. Given our small team structure, we’re looking for someone who is proactive, a quick learner, and can operate with minimal supervision. Recent graduates are welcome to apply! Responsibilities: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare journal entries and financial statements Manage accounts payable and receivable Support budgeting, forecasting, and job cost tracking Perform invoice entry and oversee job costing Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and external partners Assist the CFO with various financial projects and reporting Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) CPA certification preferred but not required 0–3+ years of accounting experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply) Experience with job costing or construction accounting a plus Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage preferred) Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment Additional Details: Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries: Construction Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Core Building Company by 2x Set up job alerts for “Accountant” roles.
