About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: CPR certification or Basic Life Support certification from an approved vendor per policy Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members as well as team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Participate in ongoing education and training relevant to nursing practice. Engage in team meetings to improve patient care and ensure staff communication. Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards of practice within the healthcare environment. Promote the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients through adherence to healthcare policies.
