We are on 7 acres with 3 Operations buildings totaling 75,000 sq ft of production space.Be a CNC Programmer, Machinist, Setup & Operator in the Machine job shop in our newer 3,000 square foot state-of-the-art CNC precision and high volume machining center!As a CNC Programmer Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts.Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming headsQualifications:3-5 years (required) experience of CNC programming (using software such as Surfcam & Mastercam), Setup, and Operation with the ability to interpret engineering illustrations, blueprint components, work with CNC equipment including HAAS VF8, VF3, VF-3YT, VM-3, CNC & Conventional Lathes and Fourth Axis machines, and possess job shop environment experience.CNC programming machinist knowledge & experienceMaintain a clean and organized work areaUtmost attention to safetyReliable, good attendance and punctualityConcern for qualityAttention to detailResponsibilities:Candidate will be working with CAD, CAM and software programs utilizing intermediate to advanced knowledge while training towards full working knowledgePosition will be responsible for machining mechanical parts, pieces or products to customer drawings and specifications using a variety of tools and high-tech milling and drilling equipmentPlans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Daily activities will include programming one off parts, small to medium run, in either Surfcam or Mastercam.Setting up your HAAS milling and lathe machinesOperate calipers, inspection gauges, micrometers, and other quality control instrumentationMaintain CNC mill and other machines using preventative maintenance methodsContinually evaluate machine, cutting tool, and software technologies to improve knowledge and cycle timesMaintain inventory of manufacturing product and machine toolsMaintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesCreate specific machine set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirementsPerform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standardsWork with quality control department to Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identifiedRework and/or repair machined parts and products according to engineering specification changes and revisionsPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedurePrioritize work flow through effective communication with management staffExperience:Preferred 3-5 years in MachiningJob Type:Full-Time1st Day Shift (5 days/8 hours) and 2nd Night Shift (4 days/10 hours)Opportunities Available for weekends & overtimeHourly rate commensurate with skills, abilities, and experienceBenefits for Regular, Full-Time BMC Metalworks Employees :Medical, Vision, Dental InsuranceSupplemental Insurance : Short Term Disability, Critical Illness, Accident, Life InsuranceEarned Paid VacationPaid Holidays401K / Profit Sharing
