Construction Engineer

Reputable Chicago-based firm is hiring a Senior Construction Engineer! Responsibilities: Oversee inspection of local agency construction projects (roadway / bridge improvements using local, state, and federal funding) Prepare all construction documentation (per IDOT BLR&S requirements using CMMS, or similar detailed local agency required documentation) Measure / calculate pay item quantities Prepare contractor pay applications Oversee preparation of construction record drawings Communicate daily / weekly with clients Prepare for and facilitate pre-construction meetings Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management 5+ years of construction experience PE License Certified in IDOT’s Documentation of Contract Quantities MicroStation experience preferred Salary is commensurate with experience.
