Part-Time Venue Manager Assistant

Founded in 2017, Abbott Hospitality was previously composed of four luxury event spaces: The Abbott, The Bardot, The Harlow and The Austin. All four event spaces are located in the Crossroads Arts District of Downtown Kansas City. Due to client needs as well as customer satisfaction, Abbott Hospitality is now expanding to a National Brand in multiple locations in 2022 including, West Des Moines IA, Naperville, IL and most recently Canonsburg, PA with additional opportunities under consideration. Abbott Hospitality strives to provide unique, timeless and luxurious event spaces for memorable moments in individual's lives. The spaces are ideal for weddings, corporate events, and charity events. The venues offer a wide-range of sizes from 50-500 seated guests and 250-1,000 guest standing room. What you will be doing: The Venue Manager Assistant will help execute events occurring within our Kansas City venues,The Abbott, Austin, Bardot, and Harlow, including but not limited to: Create meaningful relationships with clients, vendors, and staff members Customer focused leading to unique and exceptional client experiences Coordinate and assist in setting the event, as well as tear down Ensuring the bars are set according to the specific event details Being the day of contact for Vendors Management of the bar staff and security Provide additional support as needed to clients and vendors Leading room flips We are looking for someone who is: The ideal candidate will be outgoing, personable, and must love events! Self-directed with a positive attitude and high energy level Extremely strong communication and networking skills Detail oriented and has a knack for accuracy Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Able to lift 25 pounds or more Event experience preferred but not required Able to work weekends and some holidays.
