Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit is responsible for providing advanced care to patients requiring close monitoring and support. The role involves working night shifts and delivering exemplary nursing care to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care and manage patients on CRRT, Bipaps, PICC lines, and chest tubes.
• Handle own lab draws, vascular access, and consults.
• Conduct and respond effectively to codes.
• Manage care for post-open-heart surgery patients with pacer wires.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit.
• Experience with CRRT, Bipaps, drawing own labs, chest tubes, and conducting own codes.
• KS RN License or Compact RN License along with BLS, ACLS, & NIH certifications.
• Willingness to float to ICU, Med/surge, Med/tele, Acute/tele, and ED as needed.
• Availability to work every other weekend and on the July 4th holiday.
