Universal Banker

Position Front‑Line Client Ambassador – Universal Banker (Bank Teller) – Elkhart DT Location & Hours Elkhart DT location. Branch hours M‑F 9‑5. Availability for evenings, weekends, and other branches as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide high‑quality client service in a friendly, positive, professional manner. Perform teller transactions: accept deposits and loan payments, verify cash and endorsements, cash checks within limits, issue money orders, official checks, redeem savings bonds. Count drawer daily, maintain cash balance, identify and resolve discrepancies. Ensure compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and report suspicious activity. Maintain client confidentiality and handle problems and complaints efficiently. Assist with currency shipments, vault, ATM, and branch balance activities. Perform onboarding activities and outbound calls to follow‑up on sales opportunities. Track and achieve individual, branch, and organizational goals. Develop knowledge of product line and deliver information to clients. Participate in promotional activities and community involvement as directed. Adhere to dress code, clean desk policy, and overall professional appearance. Mentor new associates and act as a branch teller mentor. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum six months experience in customer service or cash handling. Strong attention to detail, data entry, and currency verification skills. Proficiency with PC software: Windows, Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, social media platforms, and bank approved systems such as CSI NuPoint, IMM, Covalent, PowerBI, Smartsheet. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with business partners (Investment, Mortgage, Business Banking). Excellent consultative skills and ability to recommend solutions to client financial needs. Adaptability to new technology and system rollouts. Basic English literacy for reading and writing financial documents.
