Phlebotomist

Job Title Phlebotomist Location Silver Spring, MD Work Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (must be flexible). Every other Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency may meet requirements. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Pay Range $17.75 – $26.00 per hour. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule are eligible for all benefits except paid time off or flexible time off. Additional Compensation PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
