Overview
Registered Nurse – OR RN First Assistant (RNFA)Travel Assignment in Pittsfield, MA. Start date 09/07/2026 for a travel assignment of several weeks. Weekly pay range $3,359–$3,579. No guaranteed hours. Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; On-call as needed; will float to the main operating room as needed. This position is in an acute-care hospital setting within the local region.

Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant support in the operating room under the surgeon’s direction, including exposure, tissue handling, and assistance with instrument and device passage
- Aid with achieving adequate visualization, hemostasis, retraction, suction, and wound closure as part of the perioperative team
- Maintain sterile technique, uphold patient safety, position and drape patients appropriately, and manage intraoperative counts and specimen handling
- Collaborate with the anesthesia, nursing, and surgical teams to promote efficient case flow and accurate documentation
- Adapt to cases in the main OR as assigned and ensure readiness for a range of surgical procedures

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (in hand at submission; conditional license accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of RN First Assistant experience in an acute hospital OR
- CNOR, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
- COVID-19 vaccination plus current booster required (no exemptions)
- Local radius within 50 miles of the assignment location
- Ability to work Days, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; On-call as needed; float to the main OR
- SSN and Date of Birth required for submission paperwork
